Thank you to all who donated
To all of the residents, friends and shoppers, who donated to the 2018 Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign in Vernon, we sincerely thank you for your generosity. The many stories we heard of how The Salvation Army had supported many in our community and beyond, were truly heart warming. People told us that, “It isn't the holiday season without the Salvation Army,” and we also agree.
Thank you to our corporate partner — the Vernon Acme, whose management and employees were very welcoming, allowing us to collect much needed funds for the northern New Jersey territory. To our volunteers, Pastor Nick Fontana of the Mc Afee Bible Church, and his wife Karen, Mark Anderson and his wife DeBorah, Judy Storms and her therapy dog Jack, and my husband Steve Vichiconti, for volunteering precious time during the busy holiday season, manning the local kettle.
Our national totals are in, and I am happy to report that $142.7 million was collected nationwide through the 2018 Red Kettle Campaign. We all in Vernon have been a part of a tremendous effort, which will help us to combat homelessness, hunger, hopelessness, and disaster relief regionally.
Thank you all again, as we continue to serve our communities throughout the year.
