Jenkins Braconi, McPhersons running positive campaign for school board
As the start of a new school year approaches, I am writing to support the candidacy of Deborah Jenkins Braconi, Stephanie McPherson and Trevor McPherson for the Sussex-Wantage Regional School District Board of Education.
Deborah is a retired teacher with 38 years of experience and a master’s degree in educational administration and supervision. She is the parent of two adult children and grandparent of four.
Stephanie is a former special-education teacher with 15 years experience. She is also a local fire and EMS volunteer.
Trevor is the director of development at a local nonprofit, which supports our community, and is also a youth sports coach.
Together, the McPhersons have two children currently attending Sussex-Wantage schools and two to follow shortly.
This trio of candidates has launched a positive campaign with an emphasis on improving the quality of education, encouraging more community involvement, providing support for parents and teachers, and advocating for enrichment programs.
Recently, they held a school supply drive to help local families, and they will be holding a Meet & Greet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18 in the community room of the Sussex-Wantage Library.
They are committed to following the New Jersey School Board Code of Ethics and to supporting the educational challenges of our district’s students and the well-being of our dedicated teachers and parents.
You may find them on Facebook: Jenkins Braconi & McPhersons for S-W BOE, where they have been posting positive suggestions to start off the school year.
