“This is what happens when well-meaning people give wide discretionary power to government. I’m sure it started with pictures of mistreated animals and heart-rending stories.
“Where it leads is arbitrary seizure of animals from their owners, deprivation of a legal livelihood and presumption of guilt instead of the burden being on the government. And if this were not pro bono, crushing legal bills to reclaim what is yours.
“THINK next time you want to grant broad powers based on a sad story.”
