Vernon to collect bulky waste

VERNON - The Clean Communities program will be having a Bulky Waste and Tire Clean-up on May 15 and May 22 at the DPW Complex on Church St. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bulky items that will be accepted are tires, furniture, mattresses, carpets, and white appliances; stoves, washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners. Vernon Residents will be allowed 4 tires per household. No truck tires or tires on rims will be accepted. Proper identification will be required to dispose of bulky waste and tired such as a driver's license, tax bill, utility bill, etc.
