Sussex Woman's Club members attend district spring conference

Sussex - Eleven members of the Sussex Woman’s Club attended the 10th district spring conference of the N.J. State Federation of Women’s Club of GFWC on April 12 at Zeris Restaurant in Mountain Lakes. Jill Passaretti, 10th district vice president, presided. Deen J. Meloro, state president, was keynote speaker. The morning session included reports of district club presidents. Ethel Simmons, Sussex Woman’s Club president, outlined the activities and accomplishments of the club for the past year. The conference included an art/creative contest and conservation department flower show. Seven members of the Sussex club presented 24 entries for judging. All entries received awards, including seven gold ribbons. The gold-ribbon winners participated in the state competition at the NJSFWC annual convention last month in Atlantic City.
