Youth football, cheerleading program to offer scholarships

VERNON — Vernon Youth Football and Cheerleading Association is once again offering the Bob DeAlto Scholarship to former VYF&C football players and cheerleaders who plan to continue their education after high school.

Participation in the VYF&C program for at least one year is a requirement for eligibility. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. The application deadline is April 25, 2014.

Applications are available in the guidance offices of Vernon Township High School, Wallkill Valley Regional High School, Sussex County Vocational School, and Pope John XXIII Regional High School.
