Sparta quarterback Austen Frattura went 8-of-12 for 171 yards resulting in one touchdown and one interception, leading Sparta to a 42-0 win over Vernon on Friday, Oct. 11.
Running back Austin Castorina rushed for 89 yards and three touchdowns. Castorina also contributed three catches for 69 yards. Wide receiver Tyler Szabo made one catch for a 41-yard touchdown. Running back Sam Esposito had seven carries for 39 yards and a touchdown. Defensive back Noah Faria returned a 35-yard interception for a touchdown.
The Vikings fell to 1-5.
