Vernon Valley Karate rewards students who succeed in school

VERNON — Karate can be an important part of the developing process that a child goes through on the journey toward adulthood.

Karate develops positive social skills, feelings of self-assurance and self-worth, and the tenacity to face life’s challenges and strive for success. These values and skills, linked to a successful education, provide the ingredients that will better assure a child a fulfilling and rewarding life.

The Vernon Valley Karate Academy recognizes the importance of a quality education. Children must be directed to do their very best and put in the necessary time and effort to assure academic achievement. In an effort to help the children attain their best performance, the Vernon academy rewards students who demonstrate positive school performance.

Selected students were awarded certificates of achievement and a special patch to wear on their karate uniform.

“These recipients represent some of Vernon’s most talented and focused young people. They certainly deserve our admiration”, said Sensei Tom Shull of the Vernon Valley Karate Academy.
