Vernon honors outstanding athletes
Vernon. The Vernon Township High School Athletic Department has named junior Aleah Germinario and sophomore Martina Brich as Athletes of the Week for the Week 7 of the fall 2019 season.

The Vernon Township High School Athletic Dept. has named its Athletes of the Week for Week 7 of the fall 2019 semester.
Junior Aleah Germinario is a three-year starter for the varsity field hockey team.
She has been vital on defense this season for the NJAC Freedom Division Champions. She has been part of a defense that has only allowed 4 goals out of 96 defensive corners this season and only 17 goals allowed overall.
Head Coach Kieran Killeen says that Germinario's tenacity has helped lead the team to a 14-2 record and a conference title.
Sophomore Martina Brich scored 2 goals and had one assist last week in two victories over Hopatcong and Hackettstown for the varsity girls soccer team.
Head Coach Steve Carlson says that Brich is an extremely hard worker who makes all players around her better.
