VERNON — Frankie Rios scored a game-high 25 points, leading Newton to a 72-44 win over Vernon on Saturday, Jan. 4.
Steven Kelley added 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for a double-double for Newton (2-2). He also had two blocks and a steal. Jalil Tajiddin added 15 points for Newton.
Nick Kinsella led Vernon (2-4) with 16 points.
