High Point soccer gears up for season
SUSSEX. Both girls and boys have demonstrated dedication, determination and hard work.

After all of the dedication, determination and hard work demonstrated by the High Point High School soccer programs (boys and girls teams) during preseason practices and scrimmages they are now ready to compete in contests which count officially on their win-loss record as the regular season is just about to get underway.
Let’s take a close look at each team:
High Point Girls Soccer:
The Wildcats are scheduled to start the regular season with a home game versus Morris County Tech on Sept. 5. They have a road challenge at Kittatinny on September 9.
Key returning student athletes to the varsity level for Kevin Fenlon, the successful head coach at High Point include Reagan Cope (senior, full back), Zoe Tiger (senior, full back), Ava Langenbach (senior, midfield), Gillian Mulvoy (senior, full back and midfield), Olivia Dunn (junior, midfield), Sara Honold (junior goal keeper), Victoria Harnett (junior, full back), Sarah Harnett (sophomore, midfield and forward) and Chauncey Gebauer (sophomore, forward).
Among the newcomers looking to make a positive impression on the varsity roster are Isabella D’Ambrosi (sophomore, midfield), Makayla Chiariello (freshman, full back), Marlene Cimagia (freshman, midfield), Makayla Nelson(freshman, full back), Mia Diaz (freshman, full back and midfield), Carney Wyble (freshman, midfield and forward) and Kierstin Piontkowski (freshman, full back).
The Wildcats play in the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Freedom Division along with Kittatinny, Morris County Tech, Jefferson, Newton and Hackettstown.
High Point Boys Soccer:
With knowledgeable head coach James Seck at the helm, the Wildcats are preparing diligently for a successful campaign on the pitch this fall.
Key returning student athletes to the varsity level include Bryce Becker (senior, defense), Bryce Dunn (senior, midfield), Alex Foster (senior, midfield), Ryan Freda (senior, midfield and forward), Kevin LaBar (senior, defense and forward), Tristen Castellani (junior, forward), Noah Francois (Junior, defense and midfield), Mike Kaufman (junior, defense and midfield), Josh Radler (junior, defense) Jadon Castellani (sophomore, goal keeper) and William Kelleher (sophomore, midfield).
Promising newcomers to the varsity roster for the Wildcats include Patrick Kelleher (sophomore, midfield), Max Miller (freshman, midfield) and Matthew Freda (freshman, utility player).
The Wildcats compete in the NJAC Freedom Division along with Hackettstown, Jefferson, Vernon, Newton and Wallkill Valley. They are scheduled to begin the regular season with a home contest versus Hackettstown. They are slated to host Jefferson on Sept. 9
