Paul Gilman

PFC Paul Gilman of Sparta is serving in Iraq as a helicopter mechanic. He is the grandson of Connie Giordano of Sparta, with whom he lived after graduating high school, while attending Lincoln Technical School. Paul joined the Army and was deployed first to Hunter Army Air Field in Savannah, Ga., before being sent to Iraq. He is the son of Maryann Giordano of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Larry Gilman of Brick Township, N.J.
