Every February, Vernon Township Woman’s Club members bake their favorite cookies to give away. This year, they made an estimated 2,500 cookies, including sugar-free varieties. The cookies were packaged with a tag saying, ‘With love from the Vernon Township Woman’s Club.’ They were delivered to residents of the Homestead Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Newton and to DASI’s domestic abuse shelter.
