Lakeland Bank, based in Oak Ridge, recently donated $5,000 to the Kateri Day Camp, which is sponsored by Collier Youth Services and Sisters of the Good Shepherd.
Kateri Day Camp in Wickatunk is led by camp director Karen Stackhouse.
The camp, which runs from June 26 to Aug. 11, aims to support children from low-income families in Monmouth County.
More than 225 campers attend for seven weeks each year.
“We are proud to support our community’s youth and contribute toward their personal growth, development and empowerment to reach their full potential,” said Tom Stackhouse, executive vice president, chief credit officer of Lakeland Bank and a member of the Collier Foundation board. “Kateri Day Camp strives to improve the lives of children by providing a safe and nurturing environment and educational activities all while having fun.”
The nonprofit organization serves children ages 5-13.
