Whalen promoted to commercial lending officer

ROCKAWAY — Martin Whalen has been promoted to vice president of the Commercial Lending Department at the Rockaway Regional Office and Corporate Center for Sussex Bank.

Martin Whalen has more than 20 years of commercial lending experience in the tri-state market. Prior to joining Sussex Bank, Whalen was a senior real estate investment banker with Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers. Whalen also served as an adjunct professor in the Real Estate Department of New York University.

Additionally, Mr. Whalen, a resident of Basking Ridge, NJ, earned his MAI Designation and is a Certified Commercial Appraiser in the States of New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.
