WANTAGE — On Sunday under a deep blue sky, the eighth annual Veterans Memorial Car, Truck and Bike Show drew a steady stream of visitors and vintage auto fans to Woodbourne Veterans Memorial Park.
According to Wantage Township Recreation Commission member Christine Keller, the past eight years the show has been organized by the Commission in close conjunction with the Wanderers Car Club. For the last six years they have chosen a different veterans organization to donate the proceeds of the event and often request the guidance of the Wantage American Legion Post 213. This year’s proceeds will benefit The American Legion’s program “Operation Comfort Warrior.”
Keller, the following are this year’s First Place Best in Show winners: Car - 1928 Model A 5 window coupe owned by Hank Bauman, Truck - 1940 Ford Pickup owned by Bruce Morse, and Motorcycle - 2010 Big Bear Chopper owned by Mike Magura.
