Vernon teen attains karate black belt

Vernon resident Christina Pappan earned a karate black belt.

During her assessment Christina demonstrated her skills and determination as she was tested by a group of 14 adult black belt members of the Vernon Valley Karate Academy.

Christina was up for the task and in addition to earning her black belt she garnered the respect of her instructors and fellow students.

Sensei Tom Shull, owner and head instructor of the Academy, expressed his pride in the way Christina conducted herself during this challenging assessment of her abilities.

“Earning this coveted rank is an accomplishment that only a few can claim.”
