The Vernon Rotary Club has donated a long-range motorized wheelchair for adults to be used by people with mobility issues on township trails at the Bicycle Pump Track and Maple Grange.
Club members said they hoped that the donation would inspire others to think about how they can help to make the community a more inclusive and welcoming place for people of all abilities.
They thanked the Rotary District and club members who donated their time and resources to make the donation possible.
The wheelchair may be reserved by sending email to recreation director Mishelle Downtain at mdowntain@vernontwp.com. Reservation information is online at www.vernontwp.com under the Services tab along with a waiver.
