Ursin joins bank's board of directors

John Ursin is the newest addition to the Sussex Bancorp and Sussex Bank boards.
Ursin, who has been a resident of Sussex County his entire life, represents public entities and businesses of all sizes in his law practice with the firm Courter, Kobert and Cohen.
Additionally, he concentrates his practice in the areas of municipal law, school law, construction, insurance and banking; and was honored in 2007 by the New Jersey Law Journal as of one of the “Top 40 Attorneys Under 40.”

"His proven leadership skills, entrepreneurial accomplishments and reputation as an independent thinker will serve our organization well as we continue to build upon our commitment to being a responsible corporate leader engaged in the community."
Ursin attended the University of Scranton and earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, and later went to Rutgers University School of Law at Camden, where he earned his J.D. In 1993, he served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Superior Court Judge Ronald B. Graves.
Ursin is vice president of Pope John High School’s endowment board, is a member of the advisory board and cocChairman of the board of directors for Birth Haven and a past member of the board of directors and general counsel for Project Self-Sufficiency.
He lives in Byram, with his wife and twin daughters.
