Sussex Christian plans challenge of the talents
SUSSEX BOROUGH — Sussex Christian School is challenging school families and supporters to use their talents in “The Challenge of the Talents!”.
The Parable of Talents in Matthew 25:14-30 tells the story of a master who entrusted his servants with his money while he was away on a trip. When he returned, he assessed how well they took care of this money. Traditionally the parable has been viewed as an encouragement to serve the Lord using your God-given talents. Using this concept, SCS entrusted their young entrepreneurs and supporters with a crisp $100 bill to participate, to serve the Lord, to strengthen the community, and to raise money for SCS. They trust that working together and using their God-given talents, the community will see the development of the future servants and leaders of our society as SCS. Will support their hard work?
