Vernon seniors and students from Glen Meadow School shared goals and experiences through a series of interactive team work exercises. This exercise included tossing a ball of yarn back and forth across the circle creating a þÄúdream catcherþÄù until there were enough strands to support and keep a balloon from falling to the floor.

VERNON — On Monday the Vernon Senior Center hosted seventh- and eighth-grade students from Glen Meadow School.
With nearly 100 people in attendance, it was a time for youth and the seniors to share goals, experiences, and knowledge. With the assistance of the Municipal Alliance Committee and The Center for Prevention & Counseling, the program was meant to assist in “asset building” or establishing contacts and experience to help youth avoid the pitfalls of growing up and instead acquire the knowledge and support of older generations who have survived the process.
