santa visit
| 23 Dec 2013 | 12:50
PHOTOS BY CHRIS WYMAN A Highland Lakes Fire Department ladder truck brought Santa Claus down the center of Barry Drive South in the Barry Lakes section of Vernon on Saturday, Dec. 21. The Fire Dept. took Santa Claus on a tour of the various neighborhoods on Wawayanda Mountain. With Christmas music playing and sirens honking and screaming, a ladder truck with its flashing red and amber emergency lights made its way up and down the side streets of the Barry Lakes, Highland Lakes, and Lake Wanda sections of Vernon. During this annual tradition, the truck gave the residents plenty of noisy warning so that their children can come out to meet and wave to the jolly old elf.
