Peters Valley craft school plans exhibition
LAYTON — Peters Valley School of Craft will have the fourth annual Sussex County Student Exhibition in the Sally D. Francisco Gallery from Jan. 26 until Feb. 16.
The opening reception will be Sunday, Jan. 26, from 3 until 5 p.m.
The show will include work by students in grade 5-12. In addition, Peters Valley will award one full-tuition Huber-Weyer Scholarship to the “Best in Show”.
The exhibition will feature two- and three-dimensional artwork by students from participating schools in Sussex County. It will include ceramics, drawing, painting, jewelry, sculpture, photography, and other mixed media.
This exhibition is intended to encourage and inspire these budding young artists and provide them with a professional experience. Peters Valley awards additional scholarships to high school students at the Teens Arts Festival and the Wallkill Valley Art Show.
The Sally D. Francisco Gallery is located on the second floor of the Fine Craft Store, Peters Valley School of Craft, 19 Kuhn Rd., Layton. It is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
