Methodist church holds ‘Sonrise’ service

On Easter Sunday Pastor Megan Mead-Bracknell of the Vernon United Methodist Church presided over a 6 a.m. outdoor Sonrise Service attended by 35 people from the community, celebrating Jesus’ Resurrection with a replica of the empty tomb with rolled away boulder, signifying his resurrection.
This service has been a tradition for many years and sometimes celebrated in the cemetery adjoining the church.
