More than 20 sixth-grade students from Lounsberry Hollow Middle School demonstrated and competed their Lego robotics in front of their family members, colleagues, and teachers on March 2.

Under the guidance of Jon Bruno, VTHS engineering teacher, students have been working diligently on various stages of building and coding of their robotic designs since October. They utilized Lego EV3 building kits and software to program their robot’s movements.

While the grade 6 students will move on to the Glen Meadow Middle Schools robotics program, it will be the goal for current grade 5 students to officially compete against other schools and organizations in the First Lego League regional competition next November in Lafayette.
