Lakeland Bank announces promotions
OAK RIDGE – Thomas J. Shara, president and chief executive officer of Lakeland Bank recently announced the following new officer appointments and officer promotions.
Matthew Salmon to vice president – computer services supervisor. Salmon joined the former Newton Trust in April 1996 as a bookkeeper and advanced to assistant vice president. He transitioned to Computer Services in 2004 as assistant vice president, computer services supervisor. Salmon is a graduate of County College of Morris, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Rider College.
Patricia Burroughs to assistant vice president – Portfolio Manager Analyst. Burroughs joined the Bank in May 2005 as a leasing processor. In 2007, she transferred to the credit department as a credit analyst trainee and was promoted in 2009 to credit analyst for the Sussex Lending Team. Burroughs was promoted to assistant treasurer, senior credit analyst in 2011 and then to assistant treasurer, portfolio manager analyst in 2012. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from William Paterson University.
Karen Rosner to assistant vice president – assistant marketing director. Rosner joined Lakeland Bank in April 2008 as assistant marketing director and was promoted to assistant treasurer, assistant marketing director in 2010. Before joining the bank, she was marketing manager for North Jersey Federal Credit Union in Totowa, N.J. Rosner is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA in business administration from the University of Phoenix. She is a past member of the Association for Women in Communication-NJ Chapter, and is a resident of West Milford.
Colin Sytsma to assistant vice president – accounting analyst/finance. Sytsma joined Lakeland Bank in 2002 as a teller, left the Bank later that same year to pursue other opportunities and returned in 2004 to work in the loan department. In 2005, he transferred to the finance department as an accounting assistant, and was promoted in 2011 to assistant treasurer, accounting analyst. He graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology with a BS in statistics. Sytsma resides in Sussex.
Jacqueline Hayes to assistant treasurer – branch operations manager, West Milford. Hayes joined Lakeland Bank in December 1995 as a teller in the Wanaque branch. She was promoted to teller manager in 1996 and to customer service representative in 2000. In 2005, she transferred to the Hewitt branch and was promoted to assistant branch manager in 2008, transferring to the West Milford branch later that year as assistant branch manager. A recipient of the Top ABM Sales Award, Hayes is a resident of West Milford.
Mira Oczkowski to Assistant Treasurer – branch operations manager, Hewitt. Oczkowski joined the bank in August 2011 as an assistant branch manager of the Hewitt branch. Prior to joining Lakeland Bank, Oczkowski worked for Bank of America as a unit supervisor in items processing and also at Wachovia/Wells Fargo as a service manager. In 2012, she was awarded second place for her sales performance in Lakeland Bank’s Southern Region. Oczkowski resides in Bloomingdale.
Dora Rodriguez to assistant treasurer – branch manager, Stanhope. Rodriguez joined Lakeland Bank in November 2007 as a customer service representative in the Andover office. In 2008, she was promoted to assistant branch manager. Rodriguez is a recipient of the Top Assistant Branch Manager Award in 2009 and 2011, and was a member of the President’s Club in 2011 and 2012. She resides in Newton.
Susan Wilke to assistant treasurer – branch operations manager, Sparta. Wilke joined Lakeland Bank in 2000 as a teller. In 2001, she was promoted to teller manager and in 2003 was promoted to customer service representative. Wilke was promoted to assistant branch manager in 2007, and has participated in the banking industry’s Certified Financial Training program. She resides in Jefferson.
