Jenna Murphy, a 12th grader at Delaware Valley High School, created a giant corrugated cardboard camera that won first place for sculpture at the recent Vernon High School Invitational Art Exhibit. Judges from the Delaware College of Art and Design and William Patterson College picked winners in five categories — drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, crafts, and open — with ten schools in Pennsylvania and New Jersey competing. The judges were impressed with the college-level caliber of Jenna's work. Other participating students from Delaware Valley are Marissa Pezzullo, painting and photography; KarilynKlag, painting and ceramics; Rose Fernandez, painting; Jeremy Block, digital design; Morgan Frye, ceramics; Abigail Devizia, drawing; and Audrey Creegan, ceramics. Pictured are Delaware Valley High School Principal Ron Collins, Jenna Murphy, and art teacher Christine Sweeney.
