High Point vice principal moves on to Vernon
WANTAGE. HPRHS VP Lindsay Leduc-Young will become Vernon High School’s new principal.
The High Point Regional High School (HPRHS) Board of Education on June 28 approved the resignation of its assistant principal, Lindsay Leduc-Young, as she has agreed to become principal at Vernon Township High School.
The school board unanimously accepted the resignation of Leduc-Young as assistant principal, effective July 1. Leduc-Young was appointed as Vernon Township High School principal by the Board of Education on June 9 at an annual salary of $145,000. Her appointment was effective Aug. 9, or sooner, depending on her release from High Point.
“We just think the world of Ms. Leduc-Young and we know she will be successful at her future endeavors,” HPRHS Superintendent Scott Ripley said. “She did a fabulous job here. She was a very bright educator. She was a loss for us, but she’s going on to a successful future.”
The Board of Education approved Brian Emma as the 12-month assistant principal, effective July 1, at an annual salary of $103,000. Rebecca Sarno was approved as the 10-month assistant principal at an annual salary of $95,000.
