Hardyston woman joins NORWESCAP board
HARDYSTON — Kari Oceja was recommended by the Head Start Policy Council and has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for NORWESCAP as a representative of Sussex County.
Oceja os a full-time mother of four boys.
"I wanted to be part of something that valued and needed my input and that gave back to the community I live in," she said. "I find that NORWESCAP is special because of all the programs that can help local families and individuals with whatever they may be struggling with any given time."
NORWESCAP is a nonprofit that serves more than 35,000 under-resourced people in six counties in northwest New Jersey. They operate a portfolio of 40 projects that address emergencies and others that move people toward self reliance. The board represents a diverse group from their service footprint that leads the $35 million organization.
