Fund Racing Alliance hosts Halloween Fun Run

The Fund Racing Alliance will be hosting a virtual 5K in support of Norwescap Pathways 2 Prosperity (P2).

This Halloween Fun Run, from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2, will benefit P2, an organization that assists low-income families and individuals who have made a serious commitment to change their lives.

The Alliance was established to fight the poverty battle communities are forced into due to the COVID-19 crisis. They partner with charities and other organizations that provide services to the people who need them, encouraging participants to make a direct impact on their communities while focusing on self-care through exercise, particularly running.

Through education, mentoring, skill building, and networking, participants design their own pathway to sustainable self-reliance and resilience. This includes securing living wage employment, not just getting a job; building savings, not just paying the bills; obtaining reliable transportation, not just getting a ride; and developing a long term solution to insufficient resources, not just a short-term temporary fix.
