The Friends of High Point State Park celebrated Earth Day hosting an Earth Day Festival last Saturday April 23 at the Interpretive Center at High Point State Park.
The day was filled with a presentation with Parker Space from Space Farms Zoo. A nature hike with Dennis Miranda around the Cedar Swamp trail. Earth day story time. Chair Yoga with April Oleksy. There were educational exhibits from The Nature Conservancy, The NJ Butterfly Club, The Native Plant society of NJ Sussex County & The Sussex County Trails Partnership.
There was a family craft where you created a bird feeder & then ending the festival with a 2 hour Clean Up around Lake Marcia.
