Flooding closes Vernon crossing Road

VERNON — The closure of Vernon Crossing Road reached its fifth day on Wednesday after the region was hit by heavy rain over the last several days.
Vernon Township police said Wednesday morning that the road my be opened later on in the afternoon and that it would be monitored throughout the day.
Business on Vernon Crossing Road remained open during the road closure.
Police said on Saturday that water levels rose quickly, due to recent rain.
