Vernon. Volunteers from the Vernon Rotary Club set up their second annual Flags for Heroes near Fireman’s Pond on Route 515. Rotary President Rose Mary Polhemus said the flag donations honor individual veterans and military service personnel. They will remain flying until Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
