FAA blames ‘fuel starvation’ for plane crash

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), “fuel starvation” caused a single-engine plane to crash in Sussex Borough on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 27.

The pilot of a Champion Citabria had minor injuries when his plane crashed in East Main Street Plaza, near Alpine Village and Wilson Manor.

There were no reports of anyone injured on the ground.

The FAA said the incident remains under investigation.
