VERNON — More than 260 area family members came to Vernon’s Cherry Ridge Range for a free day at the local shooting range. The recurring annual event gave family members the opportunity to experience the shooting sports and see what the Canistear Road facility has to offer.
In addition to a comfortable and spacious clubhouse, there are six different outdoor ranges on site. The day’s offerings included the chance for people to try their hand at a variety of shotguns, rifles and handguns, while under the supervision of nationally certified instructors. The Vernon range is owned and maintained by the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs (ANJRPC).
