Chatterbox hosts Vettes To Vets

AUGUSTA — On Friday evening, representatives of the Veterans Administration and various other government and service organizations were on hand at the Chatterbox Drive-In in the hopes of helping veterans learn about the many programs and benefits that are available to them. Each veteran who attended was also given a $5 food voucher.
Organizations attending the event included the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from East Orange and Lyons, the New Jersey Department of Military Affairs, Catholic Family and Community Services, the Sussex County Division of Senior Services, Wantage-based Project Help, and the Sussex County Municipal Alliance.
In honor of POW/MIA Recognition Day, this Friday evening at 7 p.m. in Lafayette, there will be special ceremonies held at the Northwest New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial behind the historic Ludlum-Mabee House on Route 15 South next to Lafayette Pond.
