Slow driving leads to DWI arrest
On April 21, a Byram Township Police Officer observed a vehicle driving at a low rate of speed and failing to maintain its lane on Route 206. The vehicle pulled into a closed gas station where the officer then initiated a motor vehicle stop.
While speaking to the driver, Theresa Ann Osbourne of Lake Worth, Fla., the officer felt she may be intoxicated. Osbourne was asked to perform several field sobriety tests, which she failed.
She was arrested and transported to the station, where she refused to submit to breath tests. Osbourne was charged with the following and released pending a mandatory Andover-Joint Municipal Court date: Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal to Submit to Breath Tests, Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Driving Slow as to Impede Traffic
