Bad Girls Good Deeds will holds a special fundraiser, "Joey's Jamoboree," to benefit 3-year-old Joey Vaspory of West Milford on Saturay, April 26, at the Play Central Station, located at 11 Route 15 in Lafayette.

Owner Gina Costa has donated her venue for the day.

Bad Girls Good Deeds' mission is to assist those who "fall between the proverbial cracks of receiving assistancfe from other entities."

The event will feature appearances from Captain America and Wonder Woman, photography by Brett's Fire Photos and JD Photography utilizing a superhero backdrop designed by Matkie Design and printed by KDF Reprographics. Participants will enjoy many surprises and have the chance to walk away with free door prizes, including a donation from Custom Designed Nintendos.

When Vaspory was born the doctors detected a heart murmur. After many tests, it was discovered that he was born with three holes in his heart. The holes eat up 75 percent of his calorie intake. The most concerning hole is the one between his upper two chambers because it has blood shunting through it. In addition, he was delayed in meeting his developmental milestones. At 1 year old, he was not making eye contact, pointing, or talking. At the age of 2, he was diagnosed with autism from a developmental pediatrician. His parents, Diane and Dennis have him involved in many activities such as the Special Olympics and socialization groups. In addition to his medical problems and developmental delays, his family is struggling financially due to job loss. Without a steady source of income, the family is unable to pay for necessary daily living expenses such as mortgage payments, food, and clothing in addition to paying for Joey's medical and educational needs.

Tickets will cost $30 per child and include one free adult. There will be a $5 extra charge per additional adult. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
