25 students join National Junior Honor Society
VERNON. Induction ceremony held at Glen Meadow Middle School.
Parents, guardians and family members watched as 25 seventh- and eighth-graders were inducted into the Glen Meadow Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) on March 22.
Under the supervision of adviser Marianne Amato, current NJHS members led a ceremony that included a faculty speaker, Tara Holderith, and the school principal, Jacquelyn Van Orden.
For induction into the NJHS, candidates must exhibit these qualities: scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship.
The new inductees were Logan Bergh, Natalia Bock, Luca Bracchi, Hannah Burrafato, Mark Catania, Logan Clayton, Grace Cosenza, Kaine Doyle, Annelise Geisler, Emily Gosses, Joseph Heintz, Hadassah Jean, Bella Knarr, McKenna McAloney, Chloe Miller, Dylan Miller, Patrick Naughton, Tristan O’Krinsky, Lilliana Rovetto, Carolyn Rugel, Molly Sokolewicz, Evan Toll, Aiden Velez, Cameron Weiss and Brianna White.
