Firefighters visit school

The kindergarten and first grade classes at Franklin Borough School had the opportunity to learn about fire prevention and fire safety from the experts recently. Firefighters Mike Gunderman, Dave McDole and Captain Jeff Snyder of the Franklin Fire Department visited the school, and encouraged the students to set up a home fire escape plan and practice it with their families. Students also had a chance to ask questions, look at fire gear and equipment and climb aboard the fire truck for a first-hand look.
