William Robert McCall

William Robert McCall, 59 years old, died unexpectedly at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Warwick, N.Y., on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013. Born to Harold and Joan McCall in Weehawken, N.J., he spent his childhood in North Bergen, N.J., then his family moved to Bloomingdale, N.J., and he then lived in West Milford, NJ before moving to Vernon Twp., N.J., 27 years ago.

Bill was a 1972 graduate of Butler High School and then continued his education at William Paterson University, earning his Bachelor of Science in 1978. Two years later, he completed coursework at Chubb Institute earning a certificate in Computer Programming. Bill then worked as a Tech Support Analyst at Bear Stearns/JP Morgan in Whippany, N.J., for 23 years until 2012. Bill was an avid hunter and sports enthusiast.

Bill was the devoted husband for 28 years of Kathleen McCall (nee Carroll) of Vernon Twp., N.J. Loving father of Kyle McCall at home and Erik McCall of Delray Beach, Fla.; devoted son of Harold and Joan McCall of Fort Myers, Fla. Bill will be dearly missed by his extended family which includes his mother-in-law, five sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, four nieces, four nephews, 5 cousins and his faithful dog, Chaz.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, N.J., on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, N.J.
