Sharon A. Kotowicz

Sharon A. Kotowicz, age 59, passed away on Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at her residence while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sussex to the late Roy and Joyce Kays, Sharon grew up in Branchville and lived in Sussex County all of her life. She had started her employment in the health care industry at the former Wallkill Valley Hospital in Sussex as a dietary supervisor in 1975 and after raising her daughters, Sharon went back to work in 1999 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Sussex in the patient registration office and retired in May 2017 while working in their fire watch department. Sharon was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sussex, a former Girl Scout leader, and also participated in American Cancer Society events; including Relay for Life and attended the Survivor Dinners. Sharon is survived by her husband of 33 years, Stanley Kotowicz, Jr.; her daughters, Krista Kotowicz and Tara-Lynn Kotowicz both of Wantage; her granddaughter, Abigail; her sisters, Sandra Terwilliger and her husband Will of Hawley, PA, Sheila Stormes and her husband Al of Sussex, and Shelly Adi and her husband Santosh of Marshall’s Creek, PA; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins that she was extremely close with. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex with private cremation at the convenience of the family.
