Maureen McGAughran

Maureen McGaughran, age 95, peacefully passed away on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at her residence while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Carnaseer (Dunmore), Ireland, to the late Thomas and Sabina (Glennon) Mullarkey, Mrs. McMaughran had lived in England and Australia before coming to the United States in 1954. She lived in Jackson, N.J., where she owned and operated Jackson Physical Therapy with her husband, James for 35 years. After her retirement, she lived in Florida, Kentucky, and Maryland, before moving to Sussex to be near her youngest son and his family.
Mrs. McGaughran was predeceased by her siblings, Jack, James, Thomas, Patrick, and Delia Mullarkey, Margaret Rooney, and Sabina Haskins. She is survived by her husband, James; her three sons, James and his wife Barbara of Frederick, Maryland, Frank and his wife Mary Ruth of Neptune, and Peter and his wife Lauri of Wantage; and her two grandchildren, Ian and Cara.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. in Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at St. Monica R.C. Church, 33 Unionville Avenue, Sussex. Private cremation services have been entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Maureen McGaughran's memory to St. Monica R.C. Church, 33 Unionville Avenue, Sussex, NJ 07461.
