Lorraine Riker
Lorraine Riker, age 64, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014, while surrounded by her loving family. Lorraine was born in Sussex to the late Lawrence Fiscarelli and Maude M. Slater, she had lived in Sussex County all of her life. Lorraine had been employed in the banking industry and had been the manager at the Dairy Queen in Wantage for 10 years. She was employed by Lewellyn-Edison Bank in Augusta for the past six years. Lorraine was an active member of the Wantage United Methodist Church and enjoyed being a member of the choir. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women and contributed her time to Barks Rescue. She is survived by her husband, Blair Riker; her son, Bruce Shuart and his wife Stephanie of Wantage; her daughter, Jennifer McCarthy and her husband, John, of Wantage; her sisters, Joyce Guinn and her husband, Jim, of Matamoras, Pa., and Donna Hough and her husband, Jay, of Marlton; her grandchildren, Katie, Miranda, Johnny, and Finn; her cousins, Dell Roberson, Trixie Card, and Charles Congelosi all of Pine Bush, New York, Charles Manco of Florida, and Joe Parisi of Philadelphia, PA; and her niece, Mary MacGregor of Longmont, Colorado. The family has chosen a scripture especially for Lorraine:
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” (4 Timothy 7 – 8) Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Wantage United Methodist Church, 199 Libertyville Road, Wantage. Interment will follow at Clove Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. to 7-9 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex.
