Ilona Parak

Ilona Parak, 88 years old, died after a short illness at Highland Park Hospital, Highland Park, Ill., on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013. Born to Janos and Ilona Toth in Karad, Hungary, she lived in Sussex, N.J., and Vernon Twp., N.J., before moving to Vernon Hills, Ill.

Mrs. Parak was a dedicated homemaker and took great joy in reading.

Mrs. Parak is predeceased by her husband of 51 years, John Parak (1995) and a brother and 2 sisters and was the devoted mother of John S. Parak and his wife, Betty, of Vernon Twp., NJ and Ilona M. Best and her husband, Doug, of Vernon Hills, Ill..; cherished by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; dear sister of Marika Kormoczi of Hungary.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Friday, December 13, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis deSales RC Church, Vernon Twp., NJ at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Vernon Twp., NJ.
