Eileen Osorno

    After a long life filled with the love and admiration of friends and family, on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, Eileen Osorno, age 89, was carried home to our Heavenly Father on the wings of snow angels.

    She was born in Far Rockaway, N.Y., to the late George and Helen O'Connor. She contributed to the war effort with her work at Bendix and worked as an operator for N.J. Bell. In 1961, she found herself widowed with two young daughters.

    She moved to McAfee in 1965, where she raised Eileen and Maureen. She worked at the Playboy Club in McAfee for many years, where she received Employee of the Year, and was flown to California to receive her award from Hugh Hefner at his mansion. She retired from the Lounsberry Hollow Middle School, food service divison in 1988. Eileen moved from McAfee to

    Newton in 2009.
    She was predeceased by: her husband, Thomas Osorno in 1961; her parents; and her sister, Jeanne Dunne in 2013. She leaves behind two daughters, Eileen Lockburner and her husband, David, of Stillwater and Maureen Rogers and her husband, David, of Morristown; three grandchildren, Jessica Weinberg and her husband, Adam, of Stillwater, Rebecca Ismail and her

    husband, Sam, of Newton; and Graydon Rogers of Morristown; as well as six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, George O'Connor of North Carolina and Jack O'Connor of Florida.

    Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Monica R.C. Church, 33 Unionville Ave., Sussex. Interment will be at North Hardyston Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at
