Anthony Gisonti of Barry Lakes, N.J., passed away at his residence on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020, after losing his battle to cancer. He was 67.
Son of Alfred and Catherine (DeNisco) Gisonti, Anthony was born on Dec. 26, 1953, in Passaic, N.J., where he lived till moving to Barry Lakes, where he was a longtime resident.
Anthony was a graduate of Montclair State College, where he received a degree in education. He was an auto and wood shop teacher for the Passaic Board of Education in Passaic High School and also coached the soccer and tennis teams, retiring in 2005. Anthony worked several different jobs while fully retiring from Lakeland Auto in 2019. Anthony was a devoted family man and always willing to help someone in need.
Anthony was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Linda (Niblock) Gisonti; sons, Jacob and Lucas Gisonti; siblings, Frances Turner, Kathleen Jaworski, JoAnn Carroll, Lasandra Gisonti, Thomas Gisonti, Dennis Gisonti, Lisa Swanson, and Charlene Slezak,; and his many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
