Vernon council OKs $1.6 million contract to replace pump station

VERNON. The Township Council unanimously awarded the replacement of Pump Station No. 2 to Coppola Services of Ringwood at its meeting Nov. 28.

Coppola’s bid of $1,584,890 was determined to be the lowest of six.

Rebuilding the pump station on Sand Hill Road has been discussed as far back as 2007. Mountain Creek originally was obligated to make repairs to it under a 2012 agreement with the township.
