During Hardyston’s Fall Festival, the Snufftown Garden Club received the Mayor’s 2023 Volunteer of the Year Award.
The award was in recognition of the club’s commitment to the Hardyston Community Garden and the beautification of the municipal complex on Wheatsworth Road.
Mayor Brian Kaminski said the club has brought new life to the garden, benefiting residents who are members of the garden.
In addition to maintaining the common space in the garden, the club plants three beds in the garden. The vegetables grown in those beds are harvested by a local Girl Scouts troop and donated to the Partnership for Social Services food pantry in Franklin.
