2 Pa. men charged with robbery
BRANCHVILLE. Victims report that three masked men entered a room at the Cobmin Ridge Motel and robbed them at gunpoint.
Two people have been charged with robbery and gun crimes related to an incident at the Cobmin Ridge Motel on Route 206 in Branchville.
New Jersey State Police (NJSP) Superintendent Patrick Callahan and acting Sussex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray confirmed that Vincent Cruz, 34, and Osnil Valdez, 32, were charged. Both are residents of Allentown, Pa. Their extradition to New Jersey is pending.
About 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, three masked men entered a room at the motel and robbed the occupants at gunpoint. The victims reported the crime to the NJSP later that day.
A joint investigation by the NJSP Troop “B” Sussex Station and the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office led detectives to Allentown.
On Tuesday, Aug. 13, with the assistance of the Allentown Police Department and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, Cruz and Valdez were charged.
